Volvo Ocean 65 – Sailing Poland
Sailing Poland is a VO65 yacht that was built in 2014 and competed in the 2014-2015 edition of the Volvo Ocean Race as Team Alvimedica and in the 2017/18 edition as Mapfree, winning several legs of the Ocean race. Sailing Poland acquired the yacht after the Ocean race in 2018.
Under the Sailing Poland banner, the yacht has continued to compete in offshore races around the world, including the Rolex Fastnet Race and the RORC Caribbean 600. The team has achieved impressive results, including first place in the IRC One class at the 2018 Rolex Fastnet Race and second place in the overall IRC standings at the 2020 RORC Caribbean 600.
Sailing Poland features advanced technology and equipment, including carbon fibre construction and state-of-the-art navigation and communication systems. The yacht is crewed by a highly skilled team of sailors who are passionate about achieving success in the world of offshore racing. With its impressive performance and experienced crew, Sailing Poland is a force to be reckoned with in any race it competes in.
In the autumn of 2024, ahead of the 2025 Caribbean season. She was fully serviced, ready for racing: new antifoul, deck painted with antislip, seadeck in cockpit and inside. full service of hydraulics, engine, watermaker, new ropes where needed, starlink, inverter, plc, mast displays, and exchange of parts in the steering system where required.
